November Lockdown announcement
We are sad to announce that due to the impending national lockdown, we will be pausing our plans for the Telling Our Stories exhibitions. Please read on for an update for each town.
Tiverton
The exhibition at the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life will be suspended while the museum closes for lockdown. We are hopeful that it will be able to reopen during December – but we await further government guidance. We will be uploading electronic copies of the panels onto our website soon. Please bear with us as we do so – and we hope that you will come and visit the exhibition virtually during the lockdown period.
Okehampton
Due to mandatory venue closures, we have not been able to relocate our heritage banners around the town as planned for the Telling Our Stories Okehampton Town Trail. We aim to re-install the banners in the New Year, dependent on government guidance. In the meantime, we will be uploading electronic copies of the banners onto our website soon. Please bear with us as we do so – and we hope that you will come and visit the exhibition virtually during the lockdown period.
Bideford
The exhibition at the Burton at Bideford will be suspended while the museum closes for lockdown. We will re-present the exhibition as soon as the museum can safely reopen.
