Christine Star is a complementary therapist from Germany. She moved to Plymouth aged 37, and has spent many years living between Plymouth and Okehampton (where her partner lives). Christine is planning a move to Okehampton in the future.
Christine worked for nine years with a local HIV and AIDS Association and has also been responsible for checking and setting standards in schools of complementary medicine. Christine loves living in England and says of arriving:
“Whether you believe it or not, it was like coming home.”
In her interview, Christine discusses changing her name on moving to the UK, training as a complementary therapist, singing, and the difference between Bavarian and English cooking.
